The Boy Genius Report has some screenshots of the upcoming Motorola Droid coming from Verizon Wireless. The phone is scheduled to be formally announced on or around October 30th, with a release sometime shortly thereafter in November.
While I’ve been an iPhone user for a while now and still think it’s the best mobile phone device currently on the market, I am not a big fan of Apple’s product strategy. In the same breath I can also say that Apple doesn’t make much competition at the moment. The Palm Pre’s launch was a bit luke warm, and the first generation of Google Android devices didn’t exactly catch fire either in comparison to the iPhone 3G launch.
Obviously, it’s a bit too early to tell how it will all pan out but it’s exciting to see new products come into the market to compete with the ‘all mighty’ iPhone.
